Broke Down Heart

(Meg Barnhouse)
My heart's in the front yard up on blocks; covered in a blue tarp, held down with rocks. Got dents in the hood and I can't pop the locks. Paint job's peeling off, looks like chicken pox. I need somebody to crank the ignition, give me tender loving care, that's what I've been missing.
Well the engine's got power and she loves the curves. Steering's real easy if you've got good nerves. Give her lots of attention and you'll get what you deserve -- wind in your hair, go for all you're worth. I need somebody who wants to feel alive! Get me back in gear and let's drive, drive drive.
Can you fix my heart? Would you know where to start? Are you good with your hands? Can you take a chance?
The radiator's busted 'cause I ran her kinda hot. Drove a little reckless, so the brakes are shot. Yeah, I went too fast, I do that a lot, broke some of the rules, guess I got caught. I need some body who wants to take it slow. Get me up off these blocks, let's go, go, go.
Can you fix my heart? Would you know where to start? Are you good with your hands? Can you take a chance?
Back when she was cherry I thought love was a treat, didn't know what to expect when my heart hit the street. Got dents and dings but I never saw defeat. Met my match, now I know I've been beat. I need some body to make me feel new-- from the look in your eye, I'd say it might be you!
Can you fix my heart? Would you know where to start? Are you good with your hands? Can you take a chance on my broke down heart?
